Liverpool have much work to do going into next week's second leg in Italy.
La Gazzetta dello Sport were heavily critical of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
They also slammed the performance of defender Kostas Tsimikas, who was substituted at half time.

Other Liverpool stars who received low ratings included Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and substitute Mohamed Salah, who all got 5/10.
The highest rated Liverpool players were Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott, who both received ratings of 6/10.
The paper declared that Atalanta 'can see the semi-final' following their victory.
Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport led with a headline of 'magical', which also took into account Roma's 1-0 win away to AC Milan in the Europa League, with Gianluca Mancini on target.
